Music and texts of 201 carols for the Christmas season (many in more than one setting), each with copious notes on historical background and performance. An extensive general introduction gives an overview of the history of the carol, and there are a number of appendices dealing with specific areas of the repertory. The book's approach is an attempt to rediscover the native vitality of material that has sometimes been debased and sentimentalized, by means of `authentic' period settings and a concern for historically informed performance.

Bibliography
What is arbitration? This volume provides a novel theoretical examination of the concept of arbitration, attempting to answer fundamental questions which have rarely been addressed systematically in English. It explores the place of arbitration in the legal process, offering a challenging, yet accessible overview of the field and its theoretical underpinnings and contending that arbitration is important enough to be understood in its own terms, as a sui generis feature of social life. Why do individuals, companies, and States choose to go to arbitration rather than through litigation? Arbitration can offer increased flexibility and confidentiality, and provides the parties with the opportunity to select the arbitrators. But what makes them want to confide in an arbitrator rather than use the more traditional legal mechanisms for settling disputes? This volume explores what the parties can expect of an arbitrator, and whether and how the conduct of an arbitrator might be questioned and under what authority. It examines the ethical challenges to arbitral authority and its moral hazards, evaluating the promises and dangers of self-contained systems of decision-making and compliance.

The seventh edition of Textbook on Administrative Law has been substantially revised and updated to provide a concise and topical account of this fast-moving area of law. The guiding theme of this acclaimed textbook is how accountability is achieved through a 'grievance chain' comprising Parliament, informal methods of dispute resolution, ombudsmen, tribunals, and, particularly, by the courts through judicial review. This edition remains as accessible as ever, fully exploring the core areas of the subject and setting them in a contextual framework. In addition to wide-spread recognition as an invaluable core text for LLB and GDL students, Textbook on Administrative Law is a stimulating introduction for for undergraduate LLB students, postgraduate students in public law and for non-law undergraduates with an interest in this field.
